Darkness

Darkness overtaking me

Darkness swarming me

Darkness eating me

Darkness drowning me

Darkness filling me

Darkness breaking me

I stand in front of it as it makes its way to my insides

It takes hold, braking, snapping, and ripping me apart

Darkness so cold

Cold as ice, ever freezing me

Darkness blinding me

I can’t see were to go, how to brake free

Darkness holding me, killing me

Dark as black, black as night

Overtaking me, controlling me

I can’t break free, its blackness binding me

Darkness all around, no way to escape

Hope lost, despair taking its place

Falling to my knees, broken, wounded

Unable to scream, to yell for help

Darkness overtaking me

I see alight in the distance

A ray of hope

But as I run to it seems to get farther and farther away

The darkness begins to cover the light

Hope dwindling again

Spirit braking, shaking, and wavering.

Hope lost, Despair takes over again

Darkness covering everything

Falling to my knees again

Darkness taking me again

Darkness breaking me again

Darkness… everywhere

Dark as black, black as night

Ever binding me

Never ending darkness

Never ending fear

Never ending pain

Never ending chain

Torturing

Braking

Ripping me apart

Darkness overtaking

Darkness lurking

Never ending darkness

Dark as black, black as night

Drowning me in its blackness

Losing control over my body

Paralyzed by its blackness

Its blackness taking control

Trying to get free

Binding darkness,

Never setting me free

Never ending darkness

Swallowing me

Always dark

Dark as black, black as night.

I can feel somehow a little bit what your poem says. It shows how darkness hits over and over again, until it becomes :

"Always dark

Dark as black, black as night"

This is the complete opposition to a poem where the poet wants it to flow. This is a hammering of dark feelings, of desperation. It is without hope, a fall to the dark side.

At each hit, it goes further deep inside. It is not quite my style, but I like it in a way.
